1983
Georg Wendelin, Helmut Bacher and Helmuth Schulz found EREMA. A first EREMA prototype is built.
1986
New premises are built and the company moves to what are today the headquarters in Ansfelden near Linz
1991
In demand as the industry pacemaker. EREMA North America Inc. is established in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
1992
3S in Roitham, Upper Austria joins as a new subsidiary. Specialised in manufacturing extruder screws, legacy parts and high-tech core components for EREMA machines.
1993
The next generation: The entire range of extruders is converted from the radial to the more efficient tangential system.
1997
The 1000th EREMA plant leaves the factory.
1998
The new KAG system is launched at K’98.
2001
EREMA China is founded in Shanghai. The VACUREMA® inline sheet system is presented during an inhouse show at the headquarters in Ansfelden in the same year.
2004
The fourth generation of EREMA systems.
2006
The founders of the company hand over EREMA to a new management team: Gerhard Wendelin, Klaus Feichtinger and Manfred Hackl.
2007
EREMA reaches an annual turnover of more than EUR 100 million for the first time. The export ratio is now 98.2%. EUR 6.5 million is invested in doubling the office space to approx. 5000 m2 and a 40% expansion of production space to 7300 m2. The official opening of the plant expansion also sees the launch of the latest VACUREMA® Prime technology.
2010
Gerhard Wendelin steps down from the managing board. Development of the ecoSAVE® technology is now completed. The EREMA TVEplus® is presented at the K trade fair in 2010.
2012
The EREMA Customer Centre opens in Ansfelden. Covering floor space of 1200 m2, the full range of machines is available for testing. COREMA® technology is also launched in this year.
2013
The new INTAREMA® delivers even more efficiency in plastics recycling. The high-performance EREMA Laserfilter system is taken to the next level.
2015
The RegrindPro® machine for highly efficient regrind recycling is launched.
2016
With the VACUREMA® Inline Preform system, food-contact-compliant 100% rPET can now be produced for the first time directly from post-consumer PET flakes in a single pass without the detour of pellet production. The highly efficient ReFresher anti-odour technology for INTAREMA®-TVEplus® systems is presented at the K trade fair 2016.
2017
The POWERFIL business unit is founded. As a result, EREMA now offers melt filters as individual components for existing extrusion plants.
2018
VACUNITE® is presented at the Petnology trade fair in 2018.
2019
At K 2019, EREMA presents the BluPort® customer, a package of existing and new digital assistance systems, to the public for the first time.
2021
EREMA ships the 1000th recycling machine to North America.
